 How do I get support?

 Can I substitute exercises?

You are more than welcome to substitute exercises as you see fit (especially if an exercise is uncomfortable or too challenging). However, we recommend running this program as written for optimal results.

 What if I can’t perform an exercise?

If an exercise is too difficult or causes you discomfort – STOP. We recommend re-watching the demo video and if you are still experiencing difficulties do not continue. You’re welcome to ask for alternate exercise substitutions in the Forum.

 Who is this program for?

This program is designed for men and women over 50 who are interested in building muscle and burning fat to improve their health and body composition. You do not need prior weight lifting experience. However, if you are very reconditioned, you might want to consider our FIT FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM before doing this program.

 Will I need a gym membership?

Yes, you will need access to a commercial gym or a very well-equipped home gym. If you’re planning on working out in your home gym, you’ll need the following equipment: rack, barbell & plates, adjustable bench, dumbbells, kettlebells, cable machine, and long bands (super bands).

 Is this program designed for women?

Yes! This program was designed for both men and women.

 What about cardio?

This 24-week program does not include any specific cardio, but instead has a daily step goal associated with each of the workout phases. You are welcome to add additional cardio but note that excessive cardio will compromise your muscle building and fat loss goals.

 Should I be sore after exercising?

While it’s perfectly normal to be a little sore after a workout, you should NOT be excessively sore after any of these workouts. A good rule of thumb is if you are still sore two days after a workout, your workouts are too intense, and you should consider backing off the intensity (see Rate of Perceived Exertion section of your welcome guide).
